Children's Department is hosting a Read to Feed Program, a Heifer International's program. The program provides families all over the world with livestocks to support themselves. Please pick up a flyer at the Children's Desk or visit www.readtofeed.org for more information on the program.
Writing Workshop Saturday, Nov. 5 1:00pm - 2:30pm Ages: 7 to 12
Participants will write and illustrate a short story about a fictional family that will benefit from this program.
Registration starts online Oct. 21 and ends Nov. 4 at 8:30am.
Making a Collage Saturday, Nov. 12 1:00pm - 2:00pm Ages: 6 to 9
To emphasize the idea of the important things in life, family and friends, participants will make a collage of the things that are important to them.
Registration starts online Oct. 28 and ends Nov. 11 at 8:30am
Friendship Bracelets Tuesday, Nov. 22 3:30pm - 4:30pm Ages: 7 to 13
Come make a frienship or hem bracelet.
Registration starts online Nov. 4 and ends Nov. 21 at 8:30am.
Holiday Ornaments Saturday, Nov. 26 1:00pm - 2:00pm Ages: 6 to 12
The program is centered around the concept of doing something for others and celebrating the season of giving and thanks. Participants will make Christmas ornaments.
Registration starts online Nov. 11 and ends on Nov. 25 at 8:30am.
